PL4US

PL4US organises personalised programmes of study for a wide range of students throughout the week. It is open at lunchtimes between 12.25pm and 1.10pm for students to do homework. Support is available to students during this time. One to one tuition is organised in PL4US before and after college.

The PL4US team:

  • Meets with Primary Schools regarding transfer to the Vale
  • Arranges individual Y6 transition programmes
  • Works with students in classes across the academy
  • Organises small group or 1-1 intervention to support student learning
  • Liaises with outside agencies to support students
  • Provides specialist teaching and advice
  • Ensures that the academy meets statutory requirements
  • Arranges tuition in PL4US after college
  • Makes application for Access Arrangements for external examinations
  • Liaises with staff across the academy
  • Coordinates the formulation of Student Information Sheets and Annual Reviews
  • Schedules meetings with parents
  • Undertakes risk assessment to promote inclusion

PL4US is a suite of rooms with a range of resources to help individual students. The base has an interactive white board, six computers, software programmes and resources to support students learning.
