The Vale Academy places huge importance on teaching and expects staff to deliver exciting, inspiring lessons. We monitor our teachers rigorously and regularly, checking the quality of lessons, of marking and of homework.

Regular staff training is a strong feature of the academy with teachers being encouraged to work together to share ideas and improve student learning.

We speak regularly to students to ascertain their opinions on teaching here and canvass parents’ views through regular questionnaires.

Most importantly, we endeavour to act upon their observations appropriately.
