Students and staff at The Vale Academy are celebrating after receiving another set of very strong GCSE results. 74% of students gained a grade 4 in both English and Maths and 51% gained a grade 5 in both subjects. The results reflect the sustained high performance of The Vale.
English achieved 82% of grades at 4+ and 58% of grades at 5+, with maths achieving 77% of grades at 4+ and 58% of grades at 5+. This high performance is also reflected across all subjects. There were some excellent individual performances including Hannah Taylor, who gained 9 GCSEs all at grade 9; a truly outstanding achievement, enjoyed by only a handful of students nationally.
Principal Nicola Williams said ‘I am absolutely delighted with these excellent results which clearly show the hard work put in by both students and staff. They are a reflection of the strong teaching and individual support we provide for our students. Congratulations to all our Year 11 students; their success is well deserved.’
Paul Tarn, Chief Executive Officer of Delta Academies Trust said “Principal Nicola Williams, her team and the Academy Advisory Body have created a centre of academic excellence and it is little surprise to me that the number of pupils joining the school in September has almost doubled.“
