Success at Lincoln Book Festival

In the summer term of 2018, Lincoln Book Festival 2018, in association with the University of Lincoln and Bishop Grosseteste University, invited budding writers to submit their own ultra-short stories to its annual Flash Fiction Competition on this year's festival theme of 'revolution'.

The competition aims to uncover new storytelling talent by showcasing concise, compelling creative writing within a defined topic or genre with a simple but challenging brief. By Friday 6th July, The Vale had submitted entries from students for the Secondary category. We are delighted to announce that Amy, now in Year 10, won this category with her short story.

Earlier this term, Amy received an email informing her she had been shortlisted and was invited to be a guest at the Lincoln Book Festival Launch party on the 24th September. The winners were announced at this event and out of 200 entries- Amy won!

All at The Vale are immensely proud of Amy and send our congratulations. Well done!
