Primary Numeracy Challenge

10 teams – 5 schools – 4-year groups – 40 students – 10 rounds – 2 competitions and 1 host: can mean only one thing, the return of The Vale Academy Primary Numeracy Challenge.

This hotly contested event , hosted by Mr B Sosna and well attended by school staff and parents, tested students’ number , fractions , logical thinking, and scrabble skills over 5 intense rounds.

The children, excited and eager in anticipation, showed they were more than a match for the questions, with each school scoring very highly in both events.

However, there can be only one winner and this year the Year 3 and 4 event was won by Scawby Academy and the Year 5 and 6 event was won by St. Barnabas CofE  Primary school.

Every child received a certificate and the winners won not only a stationery school set each but the right to call themselves The Vale Academy Primary Numeracy Champions 2021.
Congratulations to all pupils who participated.
