The form tutor is the key person for students throughout their time at the academy. It is the tutor who will meet them each day for a 30 minute tutor time where they will study the EPC Programme, have an assembly each week and discuss current issues. The tutor will also help students with any concerns, work with their tutees to monitor their progress and attendance as well as encourage them to get the best out of school. If you wish to contact your child’s tutor please email the academy on info@valeacademy.org.uk or alternatively call during office hours on 01652 294511 where we will take a message to pass on to the member of staff concerned.

Each year group has a Learning Manager who is available to offer pastoral support, ensuring students are able to focus on learning during lessons. A variety of support is offered and the Learning Manager works closely with tutors to ensure each student reaches their full potential.

Each student is assigned to a house, which is led by our Learning Managers. There are house competitions throughout the year such as sports day, where students can earn points to contribute to the success of their house
